Empowering children and young people
Community Links is based in the London Borough of Newham, home to one of the youngest populations of the UK and one of its most ethnically diverse. Young people growing up here are statistically more likely to experience difficult issues including poverty, homelessness, drugs, crime and broken families, but each has the potential to succeed. Our research with young people has identified what they want for themselves.
We provide materials for practitioners working with children and young people including our Young Activists workbooks. We are developing a wider programme of research innovation and practical support which will sharing the knowledge about these young lives with community organisations and policymakers across the UK.
