Our Board of Trustees
We are extremely proud to have an excellent Board of Trustees, bring a diversity of skills and experience to benefit Community Links.
Gavin Rennie (Chair)
Gavin is a Chemical Engineer turned consultant. Recently retiring as a partner of Accenture, Gavin has been involved with Links for over 11 years, firstly as a partner sponsor and since 2007 as Chair of Trustees.
Althea Baker
Althea has been a Trustee since 2008. With over 20 years experience as a Civil Servant, Althea currently works in Department for Children, Schools and Families.
Radhika Bynon
Radhika is a Community Worker and Project Manager currently working for the Specialist Schools & Academies Trust as a Programme Manager. Radhika has recently returned as a Trustee having stepped down in 2008 to work on the Council for Social Action project including working part time at Links. Radhika is involved in a number of local community activities including Forest Gate Festival and Newham Make Poverty History and is a founder trustee for Asha Trust (Sri Lanka).
Stanley Harris OBE
Stan was our Chair of Trustees for 30 years. He is a partner at Lyndales Solicitors firm. Stan is also a board member of We Are What We Do.
Stephen Jacobs OBE
Stephen is the Chairman of Whipps Cross hospital and has extensive experience of working within the field of regeneration in Newham.
Haydn Powell
Hayden is an Educational Consultant and former Secondary School Headteacher. Haydn has been a supporter of Links for 30 years and a Trustee for 8 years. He is an East London School Governor and a member of London Cycling Campaign.
Fiona Rawes
Fiona is the Director of Education Campaigns at Business in the Community. Fiona trained and practiced as a Solicitor in the City before moving into fundraising for the not for profit sector, most recently as Chief Executive at Heart of the City. Fiona has been a supporter of Community Links work for the last 6 years and a Trustee for the last 3.
Charles Richardson
Charles has been associated with Links since he worked at 3i Group and now works for Kaye Enterprises Limited, also a supporter! Married with two sons (one of which has helped with Links’ property paperwork), Charles is also a governor of a local school in Surrey.
Jane Thompson
Jane is the founder of Hayfield Group and a Business Coach. A former Investment Banker, Jane has been a Trustee since October 2007 and is also a Trustee of the Almeida Theatre and member of Women in Business at the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
